I began and designed Anchored-In-Knowledge in 2009. I knew that I wanted to help people who were suffering but didn’t know exactly how at the time. After completing graduate school and landing an internship in a teaching hospital, I updated this website with the intention of marketing my services to children and adolescents only.
However, over the past 9 years of working with parents, families, and caregivers, I realized the strong need for a therapist who could help them navigate the muddy waters of the mental health system. During the same time I became certified in trauma therapy. This is an important part of my work with clients.
I strive to walk with you through tough times, help you explore what your challenges mean to you, and motivate you to find the purpose and peace needed to survive.
I am a therapist who works with family trauma, angry, oppositional, or anxious and depressed kids, suicidal ideation and self-injurious behaviors, confused parents, families, and caregivers within the mental health system, and families on the verge of falling apart due to negative teen behavior(s).
I am a therapist with both personal and professional experience with challenges of living (i.e., wavering faith, self-esteem, anxiety, depressed mood, uncertainty, loss, etc). I combine these things on this site.
I hope this website serves as a resource and motivator for you.
